What are the options for ear molding treatment?
Ear molding is working with high levels of success in many ways. The three main ways ear molding treatment is performed are 1) parent(s) / caregiver(s) order ear molds and apply them at home, 2) treatment is performed at a hospital, pediatrician's office or private practice by trained medical professionals, 3) molds are applied at home by parent(s) / caregiver(s) with virtual coaching by medical professionals.
There is no one size fits all with ear molding as each case has its own level of severity. The most important thing is to act fast.
How much will I need to pay for ear molding?
Treatment costs vary considerably. At home application by parents can be as low as a few hundred dollars, but treatment in a private practice can be upwards of $6k.
Do the ear molds cause any pain for infants?
No, most infants are not bothered by ear molds. In our experience, there have been no issues with sleep, nursing, or any other part of day-to-day life.
Do the ear molds impact hearing development?
No, there is no impact to hearing.
